LoginRecall is built on a Local-Only Architecture. This means that all data generated by the extension is stored exclusively on your device. We do not operate any backend servers that collect, store, or transmit your personal information or browsing history.

2. Data Collection & Use

The extension allows you to remember which account you used to log into specific websites. To provide this service, the extension processes the following data locally:

• Domain Names: To link a login method to a specific website.
• Account Identifiers: Email addresses or usernames used during login prompts.
• Authentication Provider: Name of the service (e.g., Google, GitHub) used.

This data is stored in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) and never leaves your machine.

3. Permissions Explained

To function correctly, LoginRecall requires certain browser permissions. Here is exactly why we need them:

• storage: To save your login memories locally on your computer.
• webNavigation: To detect when you are being redirected to or from an authentication provider (like accounts.google.com) so we can record the login event.
• tabs: To identify which website initiated a login request, allowing us to accurately map the account to the correct domain.
• cookies: Used only to identify which account is currently active on an auth provider during a login event to save you the step of typing it. We do not steal sessions or track you across sites.
• <all_urls>: Necessary to provide "Recall" notifications across all the websites where you might log in.

4. Data Security

Since your information is stored locally, it is protected by your device's own security measures. We do not have access to your data, and we cannot recover it if you uninstall the extension or clear your browser data.

5. Third-Party Services

Our website may use anonymized analytics to understand traffic trends. The extension itself does not communicate with any third-party services or APIs.
